rentadomain.sh

How it works

rentadomain.sh rents domain names by the month. You get DNS control. We keep ownership.

Sign in with an email code, then add a passkey or an authenticator app. Every account needs one before it can point a record.

Sign the lease, then check out with Stripe. The first charge lands at activation, then the same amount on the same day every month.

Point the DNS yourself, or hand your agent an API token. Mail records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, CAA) and wildcard records always need a person with a passkey.

We review the rent once every 12 months. A new rent only ever starts at a renewal, and it comes in a written memo with the math shown at least 60 days before.

The lease renews term after term at the same rent. You can let it end at the end of any term, and the name returns to us with your DNS records. We can decline to renew only with 30 days written notice, and never so someone else can rent the name without offering you the match first.

FAQ

Am I renting or buying?
Renting. You get DNS control for the term. You never get ownership, a transfer, or a purchase option.

What happens when my term ends?
It renews for another term at the same rent, unless you chose to let it end or we gave 30 days written notice. A new rent only starts at a renewal, with at least 60 days notice.

What can my agent do?
Read and change DNS records through the API with a scoped token. It cannot touch mail records or wildcard records, sign a lease, or make a payment.

What do you see?
Your email, verified legal name, signature record, and DNS records and changes. See the privacy page for the full list.

What happens if a card fails?
We retry and email you. Unpaid after 7 days suspends the lease. Unpaid after 14 days ends it. No refunds, no proration.
